5 Best Practices for Hiring Managers

After you launch Drafted to your company it's time to start proactively finding great referrals. Follow these steps on your path to success using Drafted.

  1. Respond to your brand new referrals within the first 7 business days. Following up quickly during your first few weeks using Drafted will give your colleagues instant gratification and confirm this is their new referral tool.
  2. Name a referrer of the week for the first 4 weeks. It's the best way to create competition and FOMO. Announce them via Slack or add them to a weekly email you're already sending.  (Check out the best ways to reward your top referrers on our blog.
  3. Add signing up for Drafted to your new-employee-onboarding. It'll help keep your company network fresh.
  4. Start asking your colleagues for introductions. Some people might be shy about making referrals right away, but that doesn't mean you can't ask them for an introduction to an awesome candidate that they're connected to.
  5. Add a referral reward to your open jobs on Drafted. Every time your colleagues go to make a referral, they'll be able to see what their potential reward could be for making a referral.
