Customize your referral form

From the questions you ask in an interview to what your team does on the weekends, your company is unique and your referral form should match that. With Drafted, you can customize your referral form to align with your company's hiring goals.

You need Drafted Admin permissions to customize referral forms.

Where to find your forms

Your referral forms live under the Referral Program tab

Depending on your Drafted package, you may have an External Referral Form, Internal Referral Form, or both. Each bold section indicates a different page of the referral form.

Currently, you cannot at additional pages to your referral forms.

Data Collection

The first page of the referral form is for collecting all the information about the candidate. You can choose which fields you want to be required and which question you want to display by clicking the checkboxes next to each field.

A check next to "required" will prevent the referrer from moving forward on the form, and not let them submit the referral, until that field is filled out.

A check next to "display" will show the field on the referral form, but it is not required to progress through the form or submit the referral.

No checks will completely hide the field from the form.

You can "star" fields that are indicative of a high-quality referral to help prioritize your incoming referrals. Referrals that have "starred" fields filled out will be categorized as a "Referral" on the Track Page.

Example: You don't want a resume to be required, but if they do add a resume you want that to be prioritized.

Save your changes before moving forward!

Changes made on the referral form will affect all referral forms company-wide.

Questions

Some questions will be locked. Locked questions are required for reporting purposes in Drafted.

There are two kinds of questions, short answer and multiple choice. You can edit the question being asked for both forms.

For multiple-choice questions, you will also need to add answers to choose from. You can do this by typing where it says "Add choice". Another row will auto-populate when you start typing in the existing row.

Similar to the Data Collection section, you can "star" answers that you believe are indicative of a high-quality referral. Referrals that have "starred" fields filled out will be categorized as a "Referral" on the Track Page.

Example: If you know a candidate is actively interviewing for jobs, you may want to prioritize that answer.

You can make questions required by clicking the checkbox to the right.

There is a limit to 10 questions per page. You can remove existing questions by clicking "remove".
